Candy Clay

Use to hand shape chocolate like you would use an edible play-doh.

14 oz Merckens wafers-melted
1/3 cup room temperature light corn syrup (Karo)

To make:  Melt Merckens wafers in a plastic microwave safe bowl on medium for 30 second intervals until melted.  See basic melting instructions if more detail is required.  Add corn syrup and stir until blended.  Turn out mixture onto waxed paper and let set at room temperature until firm.  Wrap well and store until needed.  Candy Clay handles best if hardened overnight.

To use:  Clay will be very hard to start.  Knead a small portion at a time until workable.  If clay becomes too soft, refrigerate briefly.  If rolling out clay, sprinkle work surface with cornstarch to prevent sticking.
